Location

The station is located between the east side of Camden High Street and the northwest side of Kentish Town Road, a few metres north of a complex junction of five roads:

Entrances and Exits

There’s a single entrance/exit on the northwest side of Kentish Town Road, just southwest of the tactile paving leading to the crossing of the east arm of the junction. There’s also an exit onto the east side of Camden High Street. The exit onto Camden High Street has level access from the concourse, whilst you go up four steps, going northwest into the concourse from Kentish Town Road. There’s tactile paving at the top of these steps.

Local Road Crossings

There’s a four-sided island in the middle of the junction and triangular islands in the south section of Camden High Street and in Park Way. Apart from the separate crossing of the east arm of this junction, all crossings are single-stage with tactile paving. The push button with rotating cone is to your right as you cross in either direction. The following crossings were identified during our survey:

The Central Island

There is no crossing from the central island leading west onto the triangular island in Park Way.

The North Arm, Camden High Street

This is a single-stage crossing with tactile paving. The post with push button and rotating cone is to your right as you cross in either direction.

The East Arm

Traffic flows one way (east). Just before the east arm diverges into Kentish Town and Camden roads, there’s a two-stage crossing with tactile paving throughout. There’s a post with push button and rotating cone to each side as you cross in either direction. Having reached the central island, you turn right then left for the other stage of this crossing.

Local Buses

We understand that Camden Road leads to Camden Road Station. Signs indicated the following bus stops which lie beyond the scope of this survey:

Kentish Town Road leads to Kentish Town and Parliament Hill Fields, Stop L.

Stop L is a short distance along Kentish Town Road, serving 88, 134, 214 and C2 (all 24 hour) and N20.

Local Features

There’s a gents toilet down steps from the south end of the island in Camden High Street and a ladies toilet down steps from the west side of the island in Park Way.

Details of shops and other local attractions lie beyond the scope of this survey.
