This is a through station on the Great eastern mainline from London Liverpool Street to Southend victoria, which runs approximately east/west.

Station Layout

The station has separate platforms. Platform 1, westbound, lies south of platform 2, eastbound. Each platform is long enough for 12 coach trains.

The concourse is located on the eastbound, platform 2. There is no ticket sales facility on platform 1, though staff can provide assistance.

A foot bridge joins the platforms near the west end of the station.

Accessibility

The accessible route between the platforms is via Hall Road and Bradley Way, about 400 metres in all.

There is step-free access from the car park to platform 2 and via the access ramp from Hall Road to platform 1.

At the time of our survey, 28 September 2001, this station had the second biggest access ramp in the UK.
