GUIDE TO THE KELVINGROVE ART GALLERY AND MUSEUM

By Terry Robinson B.Sc (DESCRIBE ONLINE)

April 2007

Introduction

This guide explains the location of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum (The Museum) in terms of the local road network, how it can be reached on foot from Kelvinhall Subway Station and nearby buses, before describing the layout of the building itself. An index of galleries and facilities including details of how these are reached from entrances to the building is also provided. Finally, we explain how to reach nearby buses and Kelvinhall Subway Station.

This guide is intended to provide guidance to the functional layout and content of the museum building itself and, as such, it complements existing literature and information available from and within the Museum. We therefore make no attempt to explain exhibits in detail, but to merely indicate the locations of the galleries and facilities within the building, whilst highlighting special features to give a flavour of what's available.

Describe Online as developed an Online Guide to the Glasgow Subway System.

Details of the Museum can be found on the Glassgow Museums website.
